Reroller

A first-person shooter where you can reroll your abilities every 10 seconds.

Rovers are invading Mars, and you need to protect your planet! Experiment with different weapons to deal critical hits against different kinds of enemies, just be sure that they don't get too close. How fast can you defeat the invaders?

This game was made for the 2022 GMTK GameJam, with the theme "Roll of the Dice". This game fits the theme by randomly rerolling the player's weapon as a special ability.

Controls:

• Move with WASD
• Fire with left click
  • For the Bounce gun, try aiming it near your feet to send yourself flying
• Reroll your weapon with right-click (can only be used every 10 seconds)

Developed by Chienaun and dancingcactus222.

Many assets were custom-made, with some from Unreal Engine 5 and Quixel Bridge.

The music used is from "Expanse" by Chienaun (although it was made before this project and the GameJam).

The main mechanic was partially inspired by Ratatatatouille by Cyberfly, a submission to the 2018 GMTK GameJam where your weapon switched uncontrollably, as well as other games where the weapon is randomized.
